 1. Summary

The goal of Wikipedia is to build and maintain an encyclopedia covering all branches of human knowledge. So in the English Wikipedia, hundreds of new articles are created every day and more articles are expanded, and these articles are displayed in DYK. But the display time is limited. The purpose of DYK is to showcase new and improved content and to illustrate to readers that Wikipedia articles are constantly being improved and expanded; to highlight the diversity of Wikipedia information and provide facts on a range of topics; to recognize editors for their contributions to expanding and improving Wikipedia Work done by Wikipedia; facilitating the recruitment of new editors.

2. Interesting points

It should be noted that DYK is not a smaller version of featured content or good articles, although selected good articles do appear in DYK. DYK is also not a collection of general trifles and a means of advertising. DYK's rules apply only to articles that have achieved any of the three criteria of being created, at least five times enlarged, and promoted to good article status within the past seven days.
