1. SUMMARY

In the context of the open content community, we can see the concept of leadership of characters such as Jimmy Wales. In particular, it can be seen that there are difficulties in decision-making in the leadership of Wikipedia and its co-founder, Jimmy Wales, and in large consultation-oriented groups.

The difficulties inherent in making decisions within a voluntary, consensus-oriented community lead to the need for "dictatorship." Leaders with excessive influence may be criticized, but their absence may lead to inefficiencies and prolonged debate. The role of "a benevolent dictator" is seen as a way to resolve these conflicts and facilitate decision-making.

Jimmy Wales is described as a leader with considerable authority on Wikipedia, but he is not officially called a " benevolent dictator." Rather, we acknowledge that the leader has delegated authority to Wikipedia's board of directors and dispute settlement committees while retaining decision-making authority. It also discusses the scope of editorial rights and the need to clarify the role of Wikipedia content formation in Wales. The possibility of Wales being misunderstood as a " principal editor " or " benevolent dictator " and the need for a clear explanation of his role in approving or enforcing content decisions were discussed. Jimmy Wales himself describes his leadership role as a "constitutional monarchy" or "constitutional" position. He emphasizes that over time, democratic processes emerge and community participation is important.

2. INTERESTING/USEFUL POINT

Personally, the interesting part is Jimmy Wales' leadership role and the resulting difficulties in the decision-making process and its solutions. It addresses the difficulty of making decisions in a community of volunteers and the need for "dictatorship" to prevent delays. Against this backdrop, the role of a "goodwill dictator" is thought to be a way to resolve these conflicts and facilitate decision-making. Jimmy Wales is portrayed as a leader with considerable authority in Wikipedia, but he is not officially called a "dictator of good faith." Instead, he admits to delegating authority to Wikipedia's board of directors and dispute resolution committees while maintaining decision-making authority. He also discusses the scope of editorial rights and the need to clarify the role of Wikipedia content formation. It is also being discussed the possibility that his role in approving or enforcing content decisions could be misunderstood as a "major editor" or a "goodwill dictator" and the need to clarify its role. Jimmy Wales himself describes his leadership role as a "constitutional monarchy" or "constitutional" position. He emphasizes that over time, democratic processes are formed and community participation is important. This is an interesting perspective to broaden your understanding of decision-making processes and leadership in the Wikipedia community.

3. DISCUSSION

Jimmy Wales' leadership role is credited with playing an important role in the Wikipedia community, but it is mentioned that he is not officially called a "dictator of good faith." Can the role of "dictator of good faith" really improve the efficiency of the community and ease of decision making?
