Reading 12. Subin Jung

1. Summary

In Wikipedia, classification is a guide to how to effectively classify Wikipedia articles. Classification is the process of classifying articles by subject. Guidelines exist for this course. Highly specific, accurate, and meaningful use of category names is recommended, and ambiguous use is prohibited The guidelines emphasize the importance of using existing categories and not creating unnecessary or redundant categories. It encourages editors to categorize articles based on notable aspects and relevance, while also considering future growth potential and changes in classification.
It is also recommended that you create an article organization that is organized within a wider topic area using a category hierarchy. Emphasize the importance of consensus and collaboration among editors when making decisions about categorization, and encourage discussions to address arguments or concerns.
It also provides recommendations for creating, maintaining, and managing categories, including appropriate templates and descriptions for context and context.
These processes collectively emphasize the consistency, clarity, and usefulness of classification systems within Wikipedia.

2. Interesting/Useful Point
I could see the clarity of the classification guidelines. It was very detailed, very precise, and even very detailed, things that were prohibited and encouraged.
Emphasizing consistency, clarity, and usefulness within Wikipedia, the guidelines that we're setting to reach high goals have been pretty specific, and I think this will be useful for better results from Wikipedia.
The classification guidelines emphasize avoiding excessive classification. This means that editors are encouraged not to place articles in too many categories because they can make navigation and maintenance difficult. Overclassification can complicate categories pages and dilute the importance of each category.

3. Discussion
I think detailed classification criteria and guidelines in people's thoughts and community participation will be a good guide. However, despite these detailed criteria, if there are any improvements to be made, I wonder how it would be appropriate to accommodate the improvements.
