1. Summary
The free culture movement is a social movement referring to the freedom to distribute and modify the creative works of others as free and open content on the Internet or other forms of media without compensation or consent to the creators of the works .
The free-culture movement, with its ethos of free exchange of ideas, is aligned with the free and open-source-software movement, as well as other movements and philosophies such as open access (OA), the remix culture, the hacker culture, the access to knowledge movement, the copyleft movement and the public domain movement.
2. Interesting points
An organization often associated with Free Culture is Creative Commons, founded by Lawrence Lessig. CC promotes the sharing of creative works and the dissemination of ideas to generate cultural vitality, scientific advancement, and commercial innovation.

Do you think the free culture movement applies to other countries, like China?
I think it is applicable. Because we can often see many people's secondary creation of film and television. But it is appropriate and also requires the protection of copyright law.
