Some Wikipedia articles are comprehensive from the start, but most start with stubs and ideally grow into well-written, comprehensive articles over time.

There are many ways to make our article a good feature article.

First of all, if we don't have time to write a complete essay, we can consider writing a "stub". Stubs are very short articles -- usually just a few sentences. These are the ugly ducklings of Wikipedia. With effort, they can grow into swans. Once a stub has real content, it is a real article. We can modify it based on the stubs.

Then continue to improve and modify and review we can get a perfect feature article, but in this process, we need to query a lot of information.

2. interesting point

This article mentions a number of ways to search for information that will help me find information in the process of editing the wiki. It is also mentioned that we use some words euphemistically to replace some overly straightforward words in the process of editing articles. such as "passed away" for "died", or "made love" for "had sexual intercourse".

If I edit a stub and no one edits on top of it is there some "waste"？

    I don't think it's a waste. Because the lack of editors is only temporary, and in the future more people will join Wikipedia to create new articles together. Even if no one edits all the time, you've provided Wikipedia with a great idea.
