Reading 11--LI MINHUI

1.Summary:
We can get a better understanding of the Wikimedia Commons site through the various questions on this page. This page contains basic and some common questions, which can solve the problems we may encounter.
First Wikimedia Commons provides a central repository for freely licensed photos, graphics, animations, music, spoken text, video clips, and media of all kinds. is a library of media resources created and maintained by volunteers. It stores media used for all Wikimedia projects.
And anyone can upload on Wikimedia Commons any freely licensed media files such as images, sounds, videos, etc. that contribute to any Wikimedia project. Before uploading, let's understand that because one of the core principles of Wikimedia Commons is that content stored here should be freely reusable in any context, anywhere in the world. Just like everything on Wikipedia is free, so a free license must allow commercial use and the creation of derivative works.
The content on Wikimedia Commons is very convenient to use, because it is free and authorized by the uploader, we can use it freely without worrying about copyright issues. At the same time, we can also upload and carefully classify some media content created by ourselves, so that we can better help other users.

2.Interesting point:
Not all images from Wikimedia projects are uploaded to Commons by default. This is because some Wikipedia licensing policies are less strict than Commons, and some images that are not accepted on the Commons site are acceptable elsewhere. Commons and Wikipedia have different conditions for allowing fair use of content. I think this question better answers my doubts than interesting.

3.Discussion point:
Anything interesting or convenient about using Wikimedia Commons?
