1. Summary

Good Faith Collaboration: The Culture of Wikipedia is a 2010 book by Joseph M. Reagle Jr. that deals with Wikipedia and the Wikipedia community. The book is an ethnographic study of Wikipedia's history, its real-life and theoretical forerunner, and its culture, including its consensus and collaborative practices. The book is composed of 8 chapters with a foreword by Lawrence Lessig.

2. Interesting point

Wikipedia defines functionality as "the extent to which a product or system effectively accomplishes its purpose." Similarly, a person's ability to fulfil their role or responsibility in a given situation is an important aspect of their character. Just as the functionality of a product is critical to its success, a person's functionality is critical to the success of their personal and professional life.

3. Discussion

Vandalism is a common problem faced by editors on Wikipedia. Vandalism can take many forms, such as adding false information, removing content, or making malicious edits. How can editors be vigilant in detecting and recovering from vandalism in order to maintain the integrity of the encyclopedia?

  2. Currently, Wikipedia is taking a number of technical measures to prevent vandalism. Editors should understand these technical measures and implement editing, and education at the beginning of the first editing will be important.
