 1. Summary 

I learned a lot about Wikipedia's culture and collaboration model through this article. I believe that Wikipedia works in practice that is through the collaboration and editing of many contributors, the encyclopedia is improved day by day. However, from a theoretical point of view, some problems may make it difficult for Wikipedia to achieve the goal of an encyclopedia.


2. Interesting point

The article referred to historical events in Wikipedia, such as the 2007 Wikimedia meetups in Taipei, where participants received spherical puzzles as gifts during registration. The jigsaw puzzle symbolizes the Wikipedia logo, which is an incomplete world of characters, each part representing a different language.The author uses this puzzle to illustrate the culture and collaboration of Wikipedia, emphasizing the importance of a neutral point of view and integrity in it.

The article then explores the vision of Wikipedia and some of the difficulties and tensions associated with it. While there are some utopian global aspirations, the authors argue that Wikipedia is not a perfect utopian project. There are tensions and practical difficulties in the open content community, such as information confusion and information misuse issues due to lack of structure. I think that although Wikipedia is committed to the higher good, it is equally limited by human nature, which includes features of triviality and vulgarity.


3. Discussion

I recognized the efforts of Wikipedia's collaborative culture to suppress conflict through positive norms and principles of assuming the best in others, and to call for the better in human nature. Although our better nature is not always there. Do you think Wikipedia evokes human goodness?
