  (1) Summary

1 . To pay attention to the Wikipedia editor rules.

Although everyone can edit, but most of the theme of the entry of or by one or two editors.Other the editor was corrected a clerical error or something.So in reading attention should be concerned about the references too, when a combination of the two more easy to obtain a complete understanding of content.

2 . Wikipedia content is concise.

The content of Wikipedia is concise and to the point. Generally speaking, the creation of Wikipedia entries does not exceed one screen and can only be used as a reference.  Because of such an entry, the editor probably wrote it simply based on his own understanding, and the quality is difficult to guarantee.

3 . View entry history.

Click "View History" in the upper right corner.  Especially when looking at articles related to politics.  If there is a major modification recently, even after the modification is revoked (or called rollback), and anti-revoke, etc. (called edit war), the typical feature is that (+1234) and (-1234) appear repeatedly in history  Such a flag, indicating the number of bytes modified.  It's better not to look at such entries.  If you must read it, be sure to read both different revisions. 

4 . Take a look at the talk page.

 There is a link to the discussion page in the upper left corner, where there may be discussions by editors on editing matters and controversies, which may be helpful to understand this article.


（2）Interesting point 

As the largest encyclopedia in the world, Wikipedia has insisted that everyone can edit and share since its establishment. However, it is inevitable that different users will have differences in the process of editing entry content.  There is a "entry editing war", where one side modifies the wording, and someone on the other side will quickly revise it back, and then it will be revoked.

 According to the number of entries that have been repeatedly revised and withdrawn, the Internet Research Institute of Oxford University released a list of the most controversial entries on Wikipedia around the world, in order to observe whether the most controversial topics in each country have cultural and geographical uniqueness  .  In terms of classification, entries related to religion or religious figures are generally controversial in various countries, especially in Iran and Arab countries, where 7 of the top ten entries are related to Islam.

Is there a website like Wikipedia in your country?  Is it also free to edit?  Is it used frequently?

    There is a Wikipedia site called "Namwiki." Many people add information about celebrities. But I don't use it.
