Reading 2-CAI XIAOHUA
(1) Summary
In my reading, I felt the "freedom", "cooperation" and "interaction" on Wikipedia.Wikipedia is a free and open community where you can contribute and communicate, where you can find the information you want or create a new entry for yourself.
(2)Interesting point
It is mentioned that, according to recent research, Wikipedia's coverage of general knowledge and technology issues is quite good, but it also has blind spots in other areas of expertise.Users seem to be most interested in people because articles about humans (e.g., biography, culture, entertainment, self and sex) are the largest categories of content and the most visited by readers. Does this mean that Wikipedia, while comprehensive, is more humanistic in content and less editorial in other areas? In fact, it can be found. People read books and film and television works according to their personal preferences, but when searching for information and watching news, most of them pay more attention to humanities and current affairs.Together with the impact of the Corona virus in recent years, most people now focus more on topics such as personal and social issues.
(3)Discussion
Have you paid attention to any areas of Wikipedia other than the humanities? Are there blind spots in areas like the ones mentioned?
