Reading&Summary 1
1) Summary
Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, so in order to prove the validity of the subject, a variety of articles and third-party sources must be cited. Before you start creating pages, Wikipedia warns you of this and points out that the subject of an article must be covered by a reliable source independent of the subject.Such resources include journals, books, newspapers, magazines, and reputations with empirical evidence. This quote will give credibility to what you post and convince the reader that it is true.
Wikipedia also facilitates the dissemination of social science knowledge, as well as dialogue among different social actors, fostering healthy social and communication habits, and emphasizing that inappropriate or incorrect information will be corrected in a timely manner. The encyclopedia platform also provides users with the opportunity to build personal information management skills and peripheral ideological sources to follow scientific advances.
As an open source, Wikipedia also focuses on the so-called imperfect principle of providing current topics or information, but without exaggeration or misrepresentation, most reference sources need to be accurate and authoritative. So from strictly rejecting unrealistic information.
2) Interesting points
I think it's interesting that when you post an article, a lot of people read it and make changes to it.Just as everyone sits together and talks about a thing, they make their own comments and modify it.The resulting content will be diversified and refined.
3) Discussion points
Because of Wikipedia's openness and arbitrary editing, when we see an article that is true, each person takes a different position and perspective, and views the article differently. What should you do if you disagree or think what this article says is unfair?
It's a very new comment, and it makes me wonder what Wikipedia really brings to people.
