1) Summary
Wikipedia is an online encyclopedia, and the classification system is a method for organizing and categorizing Wikipedia articles. Wikipedia's categorization system is designed to help readers and editors more easily find and browse articles on related topics. By placing articles in groups in different categories, readers can locate content of interest to them more quickly. At the same time, the categorization system provides editors with a way to organize and manage articles, making the structure of Wikipedia clearer. Wikipedia's categorization system is based on a set of pre-defined categorization rules and guidelines. These rules include the nomenclature of categories, the hierarchy of categories, the description of categories, and the association of categories. By following these rules, editors can place new articles into the appropriate categories or create new categories to fit new topics.
2) Interesting point
The Wikipedia categorization system has a number of important principles. These include the principle of "proportionality", which means that categories should be moderate in scope and size, avoiding being too subdivided or too broad. Another principle is "non-overlap", which means that each article should belong to only one category that best suits it, to avoid duplication of categorization.
3) Discussion
Are Wikipedia's categorization rules adjusted?
I don't think the current classification of Wikipedia needs to be adjusted. Wikipedia's classification rules are designed to meet the needs of as wide a range of readers and contributors as possible, while maintaining the consistency and usability of the classification system. As Wikipedia covers a wide and complex range of topics, there may be different views and controversies about particular topics or boundary cases. In such cases, the Wikipedia community will seek the best classification rules and solutions through discussion and consensus.
