1. Summary
The DYK section showcases new or expanded articles that are selected through an informal review process. It is not a general trivia section. The choice of articles is subject to a set of criteria that are set out on this page.Wikipedia's goal is to build and maintain an encyclopedia covering all branches of human knowledge. Hundreds of new articles are created and many more expanded each day on the English Wikipedia. DYK showcases new and improved content by presenting a series of facts ("hooks"), some of them accompanied by images, which link to selected articles. The hooks appear for a limited period in the "Did you know...?" box on the Main Page.DYK only applies to articles that have achieved one of the three objectives of creating within the last 7 days, expanding by at least five times, and upgrading to good article status. And for articles originally developed outside the article namespace, the date when the article first appeared in the article space is counted as the first day of the DYK seven-day rule.
2. Interesting point
DYK can showcase new and improved content, explain to readers the continuous improvement and expansion of Wikipedia's corpus of entries, highlight the diversity of information on Wikipedia, and gain insight into the range of materials it covers.Provide facts about a range of topics that would otherwise not necessarily be exposed on the home page.
3. Discussion
What are the conditions for a good article only applicable to DYK?
I personally think that condition is good information to know. DYK articles, which provide users to read first on the Wikipedia main page, have good content and quality.
