1. SUMMARY

We discuss its advantages and challenges, focusing on Wikipedia's concept of openness. In contrast to the claim that problematic users leave good users more often, ExtremeUnion's third law suggests that trolls motivate editors to write high-quality documents.

In Wikipedia, the definition of openness is explored, and the focus is on the accessibility and flexibility of cooperation, and the widespread sharing of content. Open content licensing, transparency, integrity, prohibition of discrimination, and non-interference, which are characteristics of the open content community, are outlined. It also mentions free and open source software (FOSS) movements that influence the concept of openness.

Discussing the tension between the ideology of free software and the practical benefits of open source, it highlights the fact that the term "open source" was developed in 1998. This emphasizes the expansion of openness to forms of cultural production other than software, and Wikipedia is an important example of the free cultural movement.

2. INTERESTING/USEFUL POINT

1) ExtremeUnion's third law and Bachmann's law: these two perspectives present conflicting arguments about problematic users and the impact of trolls on the Wikipedia community. This is an important topic that can provoke conflict and debate within the community.

2) Wikipedia's openness and challenges: Openness encourages cooperation and sharing, but at the same time can create qualitative problems and challenges. There is a problem that it is necessary to balance malicious editing and anonymous editing while maintaining openness.

3. DISCUSSION

What should I do to balance openness and quality in the Wikipedia community?
