1) Summary

An encyclopedia is a tool or summary that outlines the entirety of human knowledge or a specific field or discipline. Encyclopedias divide entries into dictionary order or topical categories. Encyclopedia entries are longer and more detailed than those found in most dictionaries, and encyclopedia entries focus on factual information about the topic named in the title of the entry."The "sum of all human knowledge" is the ultimate goal of Wikipedia, and the universal encyclopedia is the repository of knowledge to which all humanity aspires. The "necessary conditions" for Wikipedia to appear on the scene are the "necessary conditions" for Wikipedia to appear on the scene. Humanity's vision of a universal encyclopedia led to the creation of Wikipedia.

2)Interesting point

While the Encyclopedia Britannica was completed by a number of writers, Wikipedia can be written by anyone in a way that is similar to the process of writing the Encyclopedia Britannica. With the development of the Web, Wikipedia has become an online encyclopedia that can be used by any race in any country in the world. With participants from all over the world, Wikipedia is a collaborative multilingual encyclopedia project based on wiki technology, and a web encyclopedia written in different languages.

3)Discussion point

How credible is Wikipedia, a dynamic, freely accessible and editable global body of knowledge, when confronted with political-historical issues? If editors take a position in writing about political issues, is the content with a position bias still credible?

Comments

  1. I think the credibility will change depending on who edits it. However, I think that if users with different opinions appear, the debate can unfold. And anyone can write down the information, but anyone can become a supervisor to check if it is accurate information.

  2. If you look at Wikipedia as a whole, you can trust it. However, we cannot fully trust articles written by editors who are biased on political issues. Of course, Wikipedia will be somewhat objective because articles are published through censorship, but users should always maintain a critical attitude.
